나는 동물들이 그들이 꿈꾸는 유토피아를 찾아 떠나는 모험과 여정을 그린다. 그림 속에는 펭귄과 북극곰, 백마, 여우원숭이 등 여러 동물들이 등장 하는데 그들은 어느 한 지역에 국한되지 않고 여러 지역을 돌아 다니며 때로는 즐겁기도 하고 때로는 슬프기도 하다. 사람들이 사는 도시여행은 그들이 가장 즐거워하는 여행지이다. 그들은 낯선 도시풍경에 호기심을 느끼기도 하고 재미있는 사람들 세상에 흥미를 느끼기도 한다. 때로는 여우 원숭이들이 길에 떨어져 있는 쓰레기를 사람을 대신해 치워 주기도 한다. 그러나 우리들은 그런 그들에게 전혀 관심을 갖지 않는다. 그럼에도 불구하고 동물들의 여행은 계속된다. 과연 그들이 가고자 하는 곳은 어디일까? 그들만이 꿈꾸는 유토피아는 어떤 곳의 모습일까? 그들만이 살기 좋은 평화로운 곳일까? 아니면 사람들과 조화롭게 어울리며 살아 갈 수 있는 곳일까?
작가노트
I paint adventures and journeys where animals go to find the utopia they dream of. Inside the paintings, many animals such as penguins, polar bears, white horses, lemurs appear and they are not confined to any one area, but travel around many other areas, sometimes they are pleasant and sometimes sad. The city tour where people live is their favorite travel destination. They are curious about the strange city scenery and interested in the world of interesting people. Sometimes the fox monkeys pick up the trash on the street. But people don't care about them at all. Nevertheless, the animals' journey continues. Indeed Where do they want to go? What would the utopia -only they dream of- look like? Is it a peaceful place only for them to live in? Or maybe is it a place where they can get along with people and live together?
